This week Andrew had surgery. Most of you knew that. He went for a pretty routine surgery of getting tubes placed. What was crazy was the biopsy they took of a lymph node - but that turned out to be alright too. Nothing that needs to be worried about - and something that should be healed by the placement of the tubes....
And even better news, John IV was tested back at the end of January for the advanced class in his school. We knew we would know the results until at least April and this week we received word that John IV was accepted into the advanced placement class. What does this mean? He will be pulled out for a few subjects and we will have to work on the subjects at home that he missed from his normal class. To say we are proud is an understatement....granted we would have been proud if he didn't make the class. His momma didn't even get tested - so he is a step ahead of me. But he MADE IT!!!! He passed the test - and is so excited about being challenged. Now the pressure is on to make sure we work with his brother just as much so he can have just as much success as John has. We are so happy, relieved and proud this week....hence the happy dogs!!!! And if our news didn't make you smile, then at least the happy dogs will!

Sarah - so glad all is okay with Andrew! I haven't checked this new blog in a long time, just read the "back story" over the past couple of months...wow...is all I can say.
ReplyDeleteAnd what a smart cookie you have there - congrats to John IV - although given the smarts you show, I am NOT surprised at all.
Best,
Karrie
Hooray for lots of good news! And the smiling dogs didn't hurt too. :)
